Reusable packaging is a multi-use packaging. Reusable or recyclable packaging is designed for reuse. Reuse can also be opportunistic, using packages that are used only for single use. Reusable packaging is often designed to increase durability, ease of use, easy cleanability, ease of maintenance and collapsibility, or nestable design to provide for cheap recycling when empty.

Reusable packaging reuse can also be opportunistic, in terms of reusing packaging that is not necessarily designed for reuse such as jute bags or gift boxes.
